The second-gen Volvo XC60 will embody the new design language that was introduced with the XC90 in 2014.

While the original Volvo XC60 debuted the company’s then new design language, the next-gen Volvo XC60 will embody the design language introduced on the Volvo XC90 in 2014. On the outside, the iconic “Thor’s Hammer” LED headlights, the waterfall grille housing the new Volvo Iron Mark, and all other family design properties will be seen on the all-new XC60.

The second-gen Volvo XC60’s interior seems to have been lifted straight off the Volvo XC90. The instrument panel, dashboard, centre console and centre tunnel all appear strikingly similar, except the air blade HVAC vents borrowed from the S90 and V90.

Volvo SPA platform
The second-gen Volvo XC60 will be based on the SPA platform and will host a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine for the first time.
