Styling changes give these cars more visual appeal.
Dealerships of Volvo Auto India say that the company has launched the R-Design body kits for the S60 sedan and XC60 SUV.
The R-Design adds visual flair to these cars by way of exterior and interior enhancements. On the outside, these cars come finished in a Passion Red color with silver wing mirror housings. The front fascia receives a new grille element with a honeycomb structure, while the sides get 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels. The rear sees a chrome finish for the tailpipes and a diffuser-like element on the rear bumper.
Inside, these cars come with R-Design seats, R-Design steering wheel, paddle shifters, satellite navigation and a reverse camera.
The R-Design Volvos are sold in their D4 Summum trim. The engine powering these cars is the new 2.0-liter four-cylinder Drive-E engine which is capable of producing 181 PS (178.4 bhp) and 400 Nm of torque, as compared to the older engine's 163 PS (160.7 bhp). Also, the 6-speed automatic gearbox is replaced with an 8-speed automatic unit.

The S60 R-Design is priced at INR 41.5 lakhs and the XC60 R-Design is priced at INR 53 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Chennai. Compared to the D4 Summum trim, the S60 R-Design is pricier by INR 4.6 lakhs, the the XC60 R-Design is costlier by INR 5.25 lakhs.
