Reported go on sale in March 2017.
A member of The Automotive India has shared spyshots of what appears as the base variant of a Tata Nexon. The Nexon is reported to launch in India in March 2017, 13 months after it was unveiled in production form at the Auto Expo 2016.
The base variant of the Nexon will feature silver steel wheels, conventional headlamps and lesser chrome embellishers than the top-end grade. It could also lose features like roof rails, fog lamps, rear wiper, rear windshield defogger and the option of a dual tone exterior paint job, and serve as a walk-in bait with an attractive starting price.
The Nexon is 3,995 mm long and has a ground clearance of 200 mm. The engine lineup will include a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque and, reportedly, the turbocharged version of the Tiago’s 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron petrol unit with 120 PS. The diesel variant will get a 6-speed manual gearbox, while an AMT is also in the works.
