Currently, the Tiago has a 2-3 month waiting period.
According to Business Standard, Tata Motors is on track to launch the Tata Kite 5 (Tiago sedan) and Tata Tiago AMT variant during the Dussehra-Diwali period (September-November period). The two models are expected to further strengthen Tata's entry level lineup in the Indian market.
Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016, the Kite 5 is Tata's third sub-4m sedan to launch in the Indian market. If priced along the lines of its hatchback sibling, the Kite 5 could be the least expensive sedan in India. The exterior borrows the front-end of the Tiago, while the rear features a stubby boot, wraparound taillamps and LED brake light.
Other than the front-end, the Kite 5 also borrows the interior from the Tiago, although top-end variants have been spotted featuring a touchscreen infotainment system and reverse parking camera. The Kite 5 is confirmed to offer a class-leading boot capacity of 420 liters.

The Tiago will share its engine lineup with the Kite 5, which includes an all new 1.2L three cylinder Revotron engine with 83 bhp/114 Nm of torque and 1.05L Revotorq diesel engine producing 69 bhp/140Nm of torque. While a 5-speed manual is standard in both models, the report states that an AMT option for both the Kite 5 and Tiago will be introduced when the former goes on sale.
