The next-gen Audi Q5 will be based on the second generation MLB (MLB evo) platform.

As seen with the new generation Audi Q7 and Audi A4, the second generation Audi Q5 will see an evolutionary redesign. Visual cues will be borrowed from both these models and near-production renderings have already given a good idea of that. What will be a really major change for the next-gen Audi Q5 will be its platform.

The all-new Q5 will share the second generation Modular Longitudinal Matrix platform, commonly referred to as the 'MLB evo' platform, with the all-new A4. The MLB evo platform's strengths include multi-material bodyshell designs, powertrain modularity and flexible architecture for operation and display, infotainment and driver assistance systems.
