Remains unconfirmed for the Indian market.

FCA India, according to import-export website Zauba.com, has imported at least 14 units of the Renegade compact SUV for R&D purposes. At least two of these vehicles were imported from Italy, whereas the rest were brought from the United States. The vehicles were imported in 4x2 and 4x4 trims, but with only diesel engines.
It should be noted that FCA has not confirmed the Renegade's launch for the Indian market. At the Auto Expo 2016, FCA announced the entry of the Jeep brand in India, stating that three models will be sold initially: The Jeep Wrangler, the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. All three models will be imported through the CBU route with sales expected to start in mid-2016.

If considered for India, the Renegade will be the brand's entry-level model and will rival compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster and Mahindra Scorpio. The Renegade offers 1.6- and 2.0-liter MultiJet diesel engines with a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission.
