According to a report from ET Auto, the Toyota Innova Crysta is expected to launch in India in mid-2016. It will be locally produced at TKM's plant in Karnataka at high localization levels, reportedly.
Should the ban in Delhi NCR extend from March 31,2016, Toyota could introduce a petrol variant of the Innova Crysta, which packs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 139 PS and 183 Nm of torque, and paired with 5-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission in the Indonesian market.
Otherwise it will be offered with the 2.4-liter GD diesel engine producing 149 PS and 342 Nm of torque with the 5-speed manual transmission or 360 Nm of torque with the 6-speed automatic transmission. Also on the cards is a bigger 2.8-liter GD diesel variant with 177 PS, as this was spotted for the first time at the Auto Expo.
