Likely to feature cosmetic and equipment upgrades.

According to Car and Bike, Honda Cars India will introduce a top-end Honda Jazz RS at the Auto Expo 2016, which could be similar to the Mobilio RS sold in the country, with respect to variant positioning and features.

The India-spec Honda Jazz RS is likely to feature cosmetic enhancements and feature upgrades.

The Jazz RS sold in Indonesia features exclusive projector headlamps, dark chrome “Solid Wing Face” grille with an “RS” badge, round foglamps with LED DRLs, power-folding ORVMs, rear spoiler and exclusive 16-inch alloy rims. Inside, it gets features like cruise control, engine starter button, keyless entry and leather wrapped steering and gear lever. The India-spec Jazz RS could also get a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system as standard (a touchscreen system is already available on the VX grade).

The engine lineup could remain unchanged. The Jazz RS is expected to be offered with the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder, DOHC i-DTEC diesel engine that puts out 100 PS and 200 Nm of maximum torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol is unlikely to be offered in India, given the small car excise duty norms.

Like the Mobilio RS, the Jazz RS will be slightly costlier than the current top-end variant - the Honda Jazz 1.5 VX priced at INR 8.59 lakhs (ex-showroom).
