Likely to draw cues from the Hyundai HB20 R-Spec concept.
According to a report from Quatro Rodas, Hyundai Brazil is planning to introduce a sportier version of the recently launched 2016 Hyundai HB20 (facelift) next year.
Inline with older reports, the Hyundai HB20 'Sport' could borrow design cues from the Hyundai HB20 R-Spec concept from 2014. It is likely to get a sportier body kit, featuring extended front and rear bumpers, side skirts, revised air intakes, mesh grille pattern, larger alloy rims, and exposed chrome-finished taillpipe.
The report states that the HB20 Sport will pack a 1.0-liter T-GDI (flex fuel) engine. It develops 120 hp at 6,000 rpm, and 17.5 kgm (172 Nm) of torque between 1,500 and 4,100 rpm in the Kia Cee'd GT, and is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. The engine is also available on the Euro-spec Hyundai i20 and was launched at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
