Hyundai has unveiled the 2016 HB20 hatchback for Brazilian markets on September 21. The car is available in four trims – Comfort, Comfort Plus, Comfort Style and the top-spec Premium.
Sales of the hatch will commence on October 10, and prices have not yet been disclosed. It features major changes up front, where it gets a new hexagonal grille outlined in chrome, a redesigned bumper housing small fog lamps with chrome surrounds.
The top-spec variant comes with projector headlights and LED DRLs while the lower variants will get conventional headlights. The sides get new wheel designs, while the rear features a redesigned bumper and revised tail light cluster.
Inside, the new HB20 offers a new Dark Brown color and improved sound insulation. The dashboard houses a new 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system with support for Apple, Samsung and LG devices.
The In Car Link function can be used to access applications such as Google Maps, Waze, Spotify and Deezer among others. Other new features include two side airbags in addition to the dual front airbags, and automatic climate control.
Under the hood, it continues to offer the same 1.0-liter flex-fuel producing 80 hp and the 1.6-liter unit rated at 128 hp. The only significant mechanical change is the new 6-speed automatic, which replaces the 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic units offered in the 1.6L variant.
