Priced from BRL 55,395.
Following the launch of the facelifted Hyundai HB20 hatchback, Hyundai Brazil has now introduced the 2016 Hyundai HB20X. Basically a spruced-up, crossover version of the HB20, it starts from BRL 55,395 (INR 9.35 lakhs) for the base model, and goes all the way to BRL 66,485 (INR 11.23 lakhs) for the range-topping Premium variant.
The new HB20X gets an updated headlight cluster with projector lens, revised bumper with inverted 6 point grille, a faux silver skid plate and black plastic bumper extensions. Compared to the outgoing model, it looks more rugged and aggressive. It rides on new 16 inch alloy wheels with diamond finish, and has a ground clearance of 206 mm (41 mm more than the regular model) .
Inside, the new HB20X offers a new Dark Brown leather upholstery and improved sound insulation. The dashboard houses a new 7.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system with support for Apple, Samsung and LG devices. It features four airbags, auto air conditioning and piano black details on the center console.
Hyundai hasn't divulged the engine details in their website, although it's likely to pack a 1.6-liter flex-fuel engine rated at 128 hp. It loses the 4-speed automatic option for a new 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential exchanges.
