Indian Autos Blog reader, Mr. Charan Kumar, has sent us a hoard of spyshots of the Hyundai Creta at a dealer stockyard, ahead of its market launch on July 21, 2015. At least three different variants of the Creta are seen in these images – Creta diesel SX, Creta diesel SX (O) and the Creta diesel AT.

The diesel AT variant of the Creta gets a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The AT variant will be offered only in a single SX+ trim, and is identified easily thanks to the ‘Auto’ badge on the bootlid. The SX (O) variant is also visually distinguished by its 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Further, the interior spyshots show the SX (O) variant, which gets black seats with white contrast stitching, and a leather-like fabric for the doorpads where the contrast theme continues.

The SX (O) will be available only on the diesel manual, which relies on a 1.6-liter CRDi engine to produce 128 PS. Other engine options include a 1.6-liter 123 PS Dual VTVT petrol, and a 1.4-liter CRDi diesel, paired to a 6-speed manual.

  1. Jeremy King says:

If Hyundai’s post-warranty-period service via fraudulent dealers weren’t as bad as it is today, and the maintenance costs weren’t as inflated beyond reason, for someone who understands automobile mechanics, I would have considered the IX25/Creta in a heartbeat!
Alas, what to do but to give this one a miss and go for the more mundane from the Japs!
