Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) said in a statement today that the Creta has generated over 28,500 enquiries, and nearly 10,000 customers have confirmed their purchase of the compact SUV. The market launch of the Creta is scheduled for July 21, 2015, though certain dealers have started accepting bookings, unofficially.

Further, HMIL have trained over 4,000 sales consultants and 7,000 mechanics for the Creta, across its 700 sales outlets. According to reports, HMIL aims to sell around 5,000 to 6,000 units of the Creta in the domestic market each month.

Ahead of its launch, a brochure leak has revealed the variants and the variant wise features of the Creta, which will come with two diesel engine options, and a single petrol engine. All engines will get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, but a segment-first 6-speed automatic transmission will be available on the 1.6-liter diesel variant as well.

Based on the China-only ix25, the Creta measures 4,270 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,630 mm in height and 2,590 mm in wheelbase. A total of 7 colors will be available on the Creta.

Safety features on the compact SUV will include dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, VSM, HAC, and an advanced HIVE body structure made from high strength materials.
