The 2016 Audi A4, part of its global testing program, was spied on Indian roads by a TeamBHP member recently. Based on the new MLB Evo platform, the new A4 is reported to come with weight savings of 100 kg over its predecessor, and will also debut a new 2.0-liter TFSI engine with a power output of 190 PS. Similar to its predecessors, it will get a revolutionary styling with L-shape headlight enclosures, a Singleframe grille and A3-like taillight clusters.

Spyshots have shown the interior of the new A4 to get a Q7-like layout with a Virtual Cockpit display, a high-end music system and a stubby gearlever resembling an aircraft throttle. Audi is reported to offer nearly 13 engine options on the new A4 at the time of launch, with displacements varying from 1.4-liter TFSI to a 3.0-liter TDI. The Multitronic CVT gearbox will also be replaced by a 9-speed automatic transmission, reports have indicated.
