Gets a mobile docking station.
The forthcoming new Ford Figo-based compact sedan was spotted on test in Udaipur recently, and shows its interior in these spyshots clicked by Gaadi.com.
The all-black interior sports a piano black finish for the center console, and a mobile-docking station, which Ford mentioned at the time of the unveiling of the Figo concept sub-4m sedan last year. This feature will likely allow uses to play music from their mobile phones, while adding further functions like Bluetooth-enabled calls and text message readouts.
The car spotted here is likely a top-end variant, and hence sports dual front airbags. ABS would also be a part of its safety equipment list.
Power for the Figo compact sedan will come from the 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, apart from a petrol motor. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be the transmission of choice.
Production of the Figo compact sedan is expected to begin before the end of the first quarter of this calendar year, at Ford's new Sanand facility in Gujarat. Following the launch of the sedan, Ford India will introduce the hatchback to replace the Figo.
