The company will position the Hero Duet 125 as a premium family scooter, above the Hero Duet 110. Similar to the Hero Maestro Edge, the Duet 125 receives Hero’s i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology, which aids in delivering higher fuel economy. The flagship Duet 125 will rival the Suzuki Burgman Street, Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq 125, Vespa LX 125, Aprilia SR 125 and the Suzuki Access 125.

The Hero Duet 125 will come in four paint schemes, which are Noble Red, Chestnut Bronze, Panther Black, and Pearl Silver White. The scooter features an all-metal body, telescopic front forks, external fuel cap, a mobile charging port and boot light. Other features include a digital-analog instrument cluster with service due indicator, Integrated Braking System, dual-tone mirrors, and tubeless tires.

The Hero Duet 125 sources power from a new 125 cc, single-cylinder, Energy Boost engine with air cooling. The engine is capable of generating a maximum power of 8.70 bhp at 6,750 rpm while developing a peak torque of 10.2 Nm at 5,000 rpm. A CVT transfers control to the wheels. This engine will come mated to a CVT automatic transmission. As far as pricing is concerned, the Duet 125 is likely to carry a premium of around INR 5,000 over the Duet 110 variant, with an expected price of INR 52,000 (are ex-showroom).
