New Bajaj Dominar 400 ad takes a jibe on Royal Enfield yet again

The official YouTube channel of Bajaj Dominar 400 has launched the sixth commercial of the bike under the series ‘Haathi Mat Palo’.
Just like the rest of the advertisements in the series, the ad takes a dig on Royal Enfield again. The video shows a rider being ‘massaged’ by an elephant for his back pain, while a group of Dominar riders whiz by without any discomfort. Compared to a Royal Enfield, the Dominar 400 offers better value for money as far as technology is concerned. The bike comes with an all-LED lighting system; modern power cruiser design; ABS as an option; and a KTM 390 Duke-derived liquid cooled engine.
The 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 offers better refinement, apart from the introduction of new colours and gold-finished wheels. It employs the same 373.3 cc single cylinder mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The engine makes 35 PS of power at 8,000 rpm, and 35 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The powerplant works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch.
The motorcycle rides on 43 mm telescopic front fork, and a rear Nitrox monoshock. The 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear radial tyres. Brakes include 320 mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc, with twin-channel ABS as an option. The fuel tank can hold 13 litres of juice. The 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 costs INR 1,44,113 for the non-ABS version, and INR 1,58,275 for the ABS variant. Both prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi.
