IAB reader spots the Aprilia SR 125 at a dealership

IAB reader Armaan Jain has spotted the Aprilia SR 125 at a dealership, ahead of its launch. The scooter comes in two colour variants- Blue and Silver.
The SR 125 was spotted undergoing tests in July last year. The Aprilia SR 125 sports slightly different graphics. The seat comes in a single tone black colour, as opposed to the dual tone seat in the SR 150. Powering the Aprilia SR 125 is likely the Vespa VXL/SXL 125’s engine. In the Vespa, the 125cc 3-valve OHC engine makes 10.06 PS at 7,500 rpm; and 10.6 Nmat 6,000 rpm. The engine mates with a continuously variable transmission.
Expect Aprilia to tune the engine to match with the sporty scooter’s character. Cycle parts include telescopic front fork, and single rear shock absorber. The scooter comes to a halt using disc brake at the front and drum at the rear. It is likely that the SR 125 will use the same 120/70 tubeless tyres (front and rear) as the SR 150.
