The Tata Tiago AMT was previously available only in the top-spec XZA grade, priced at INR 5,25,752 (ex-showroom Delhi). Now, the Tiago AMT is launched in the lower XTA grade, priced at INR 4,79,252 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Tata Tiago XTA is essentially the Tata Tiago XT fitted with an automated manual transmission. The car's features, including full wheel covers, body coloured ORVMs and exterior door handles, dual-tone interior scheme, full fabric upholstery, ConnectNext infotainment system and rear parking sensors are common to both. The AMT shifter adds Sport mode and Creep function to the car.
The Tata Tiago is available with 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engines. The three-cylinder petrol engine develops 85 PS at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. The three-cylinder diesel engine produces 70 PS at 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque from 1,800-3,000 rpm. As before, availability of AMT is exclusive to the petrol engine model.

The Tata Tiago AMT arrived in March and had received a good response in the market. The lower entry price should help the variant's sales grow further. The Tigor is the next model that will receive the AMT option, followed by the Nexon.
