Mahindra and Mahindra has trademarked the "TUV300 Plus" name with the Controller General of Patents Design and Trade Marks. Mahindra TUV300 Plus seems to be the name chosen for the extended version of the TUV300 that has been referred to so far as the TUV500 and TUV300 XL.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is essentially a longer version of the TUV300 with increased rear space and front-facing third-row seats. The compact SUV in its current form offers jump seats behind the second row. The gain in length will translate to a increased load space too. The TUV300 offers 384 litres of boot space, which is expandable to 720 litres. Spy shots have revealed that the TUV300 Plus also gets a tail gate mounted spare wheel. In the cabin, the dashboard design appears to be identical to the TUV300.
The Mahindra TUV300 Plus will have a length of over 4 metres, which means that it will attract the highest level of taxes irrespective of the engine capacity. So, Mahindra will offer it with the Scorpio's 2.2 L mHawk diesel engine.

Mahindra has confirmed future products including the U321/S321 MPV, S201, and facelifts of the KUV100, Scorpio, and XUV500. However, the company has remained tight-lipped about its plans for the TUV 300 Plus. We reckon the car will arrive before the end this year. It will be positioned just below the Scorpio in the line-up.
