Ford is gearing up for the European launch of the Romania-made 2017 Ford EcoSport this year. With the facelift, the company will launch the 2017 Ford EcoSport ST-Line too, spy shots published by Quattroruote have revealed.
Compared to the standard 2017 Ford EcoSport, the 2017 Ford EcoSport ST-Line should offer distinctive styling and maybe sportier driving with a more firm suspension setup. The ST-Line variant should have sportier bumpers, ST-Line badge on the front fender and large alloy wheels shod with low-profile tyres. Inside, one can expect a black colour theme with contrasting body colour accents on the dashboard, centre console and door panels.
The Euro-spec 2017 Ford EcoSport is expected to have the same engines as the current model. These include 125 PS/140 PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol, 95 PS 1.5-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel and 112 PS 1.5-litre Duratec petrol. Ford could reserve the ST-Line variant for the EcoBoost and Duratorq TDCi engine models. Along with the revised exterior and interior and the new SYNC 3 infotainment system, the facelift is expected to bring the option for a four-wheel drive system.
