Images of the Yamaha R15 v3.0 from Vietnam have again come up on MotoSaigon. The motorcycle is expected to be launched soon in the country, and this time the bike is spotted in the Matte Black paint scheme.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 was first showcased in Vietnam at the 2017 Vietnam Motorcycle Show (May 2017) after its world premiere in Indonesia in January 2017. The entry-level sports motorcycle continues with a delta box type frame and gains an aggressive fairing, while the headlamps are LED based.
The suspension system in the Yamaha R15 v3.0 also gets an upgrade with an upside-down fork which resembles the one seen in the Yamaha MSlaz (retailed in Vietnam as Yamaha TFX 150). The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is the first product in the 150 cc sports motorcycle segment to get a slipper clutch as a standard fitment. Brakes include discs at both ends with a larger 282 mm unit in the front. ABS stays missing.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 has a 11-litre fuel tank and gets Variable Valve Actuation technology. This technology helps the bike produce ideal amount of power at all engine speeds. Powering the bike is a 155.1 cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected powertrain coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is expected to carry a premium price tag of VND 110 million placing it below the now reduced price tag of VND 139 million of the Yamaha R3 (non-ABS).
