Yamaha has showcased the Yamaha M-Slaz at the ongoing Thai Motor Expo. Retailed as the Yamaha Xabre in Indonesia, the bike is already on sale in Thailand.
The M-Slaz is essentially the naked version of the Yamaha R15 and gets several premium features like LED headlamp console, full negative digital instrumentation with LED backlighting and an MT-09 inspired ignition switch instead of a push button start. The bike is suspended over 37 mm upside-down telescopic forks in the front and a link type monocross setup in the rear.
The Yamaha M-Slaz measures 1,955 mm in length, 795 mm in width and has an overall height of 1,065 mm. The ground clearance is 164 mm and the seat height is 805 mm. The bike can store 10.2 litre of fuel and has a kerb weight of 135 kg. It gets disc brakes (sans ABS) with 110/70-17 M/C 54s tyre upfront and 130/70-17 M/C 62s tyre at the rear.
Housed inside the deltabox frame is the same 149 cc liquid cooled, fuel injected mill seen in the Yamaha R15 and is coupled with a 6-speed transmission.
The Yamaha M-Slaz is available across Thailand at a price tag of 89,500 Thai baht.
