Will be an Harman-based system that has a larger screen than the one in Tata Hexa.

Rushlane has managed to acquire new spyshots featuring a couple of pre-production Tata Nexon test mules, few of which show the interior in full glory.

It appears that the Nexon will not feature a dual tone beige and black interior as seen before, but rather a dual tone black and light grey interior with plenty of piano black panels. The model spied seems to be the range-topping variant (XZ?), as it comes with features like automatic climate control, start/stop button, steering-mounted audio controls, and a rear parking camera. Also fitted is an Harman-based floating touchscreen infotainment system with voice commands that seems to be larger than the unit offered in Tata Hexa, Tigor, Bolt and Zest.

The Nexon measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,811 mm in width and 1,607 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,498 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. Based on Tata’s IMPACT design language, the Nexon features a contemporary exterior styling that gives it an urban-yet-tough look. Top-end variants come with optional dual tone exterior colour schemes, projector headlamps, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, ORVM-mounted turn indicators, fog lamps with chrome bezel and V-shaped LED pilot lamps for the taillights.

So far, Tata has only confirmed that the diesel variant will pack an all-new 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, which we estimate will be capable of averaging around 22 km/L fuel mileage. As seen in the spy shot, the Nexon will also feature a dial for the drive mode selector, which include City, Eco and Sport.
