Tata Motors has begun dispatching the first wave of the Tata Tiago Automatic stock to dealerships across India, one of which was spied at a dealership. The Tiago AMT was launched for sale on March 6 at INR 5.39 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
It is only sold in the top-end XZA petrol grade, which is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine with 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque. While the manual version has 'Eco' and 'City modes, the AMT comes with Sports and City modes. The AMT variant also has an inbuilt ‘creep’ feature, which is a boon in heavy traffic conditions.
As it's based on the top-end XZ grade, the Tiago AMT comes equipped with alloy wheels, two-tone interior, ConnectNext infotainment system with navigation, audio system with four speakers and four tweeters, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD and CSC and dual-front airbags as standard.

Earlier this month, reports stated that the Tiago crossed the 50,000 unit sales milestone since its launch in India, of which 80 percent of the total orders accounts for the petrol variant. With the introduction of the petrol AMT variant, the Tiago will now appeal to an new audience.
