Rumoured to be priced at INR 10.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Autos Arena has photographed the upcoming Renault Duster petrol automatic variant at a Renault dealership, ahead of its imminent launch this month. The Renault Duster Xtronic CVT is rumoured to be priced at INR 10.3 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The spy shots offer a first look at the new 'Fiery Red' exterior colour as well as the Duster RXS grade, which the petrol CVT variant is based on. It gets 16-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, 7-inch AV touchscreen system, gloss black front grille, dual airbags, red contrast interiors and accents around the HVAC vents, and an Eco mode. The model spied has black and white decals across the profile and tailgate to give the variant the exterior differentiation.
Instead of pairing an automatic gearbox to the 1.6L petrol engine already sold in India, the Renault Duster petrol automatic sources the 1.5L 4-cyl petrol engine and CVT combo from the Nissan Sunny/Renault Scala, which produces 101 PS and 134 Nm of peak torque, and offers a mileage of 17.5 km/l on the sedan. Power is sent to the front wheels, with no option of an AWD system. The Renault Duster diesel is optionally available with an automatic gearbox (AMT) since last year.
The Renault Duster petrol AT will rival the Honda BR-V CVT (INR 12.26 Lakhs) and Hyundai Creta 1.6 petrol SX+ Auto (INR 12.99 Lakhs), as well as the Ford EcoSport 1.5 AT (INR 9.99 Lakhs). All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
