The Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets a brand new VVA engine.
Unveiled in January 2017, the Yamaha R15 v3.0 is now available for booking in Indonesia from April 1, 2017. The first 155 customers will get a VR46 T-shirt as a complimentary gift.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets a new 155.1 cc liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque. The bike weighs 137 kg and has a ground clearance of 155 mm, the seat height is 815 mm, and the fuel tank capacity though has been shrunk to 11 litres.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is suspended over inverted telescopic forks up front and a link type monoshock in the rear. It continues to use a deltabox frame and gets disc brakes all around. ABS though continues to be absent, while the aluminium swingarm is new and the instrumentation is all-digital. Other features include LED headlamps, hazard lamp, assist and slipper clutch, 140 section rear tyre and LED taillamp.

The Yamaha R15 v3.0 measures 1,990 mm in length, 725 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 1,325 mm. Colour options include Racing Blue, Matte Black and Matte Red.
