A TVS Motor official said a faired or semi-faired Apache was not under consideration.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 has been rendered as a semi-faired racer concept by the Italian designer Oberdan Bezzi. The render sports a revised tail section and exhaust canister.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 RS concept also gets an aerodynamic semi-fairing and an underbelly. The disc also is bigger but is not like the petal unit seen in the production model. The rendering also gets an ABS ring. The tyres are also noticeably fatter.
The production version of the TVS Apache RTR 180 is powered by a 177.4 cc single cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve, SOHC mill. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox the engine is capable of producing 17.03 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 139 kg and has a ground clearance of 165 kg.

Brakes in the TVS Apache RTR 180 include a 270 mm petal disc up front and a 200 mm petal unit in the rear. The bike was also the first Indian two-wheeler to get dual channel ABS as an option with rear wheel lift-off protection.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 is priced at INR 80,019 for the non-ABS version and INR 90,757 for the ABS trim. A TVS official told IAB last year that they would not introduce a faired Apache variant.
