Bajaj Pulsar 150 is the largest selling 150 cc motorcycle in the country.

Updated along with the rest of the Bajaj Pulsar range this year, the 2017 Pulsar 150 was the only product not to meet the upcoming BSIV norms. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 though now has been updated again to meet the stricter BSIV norms. The bike remains the same cosmetically but has several mechanical changes.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar BSIV version gets several mechanical changes in the engine including new mapping for the CDI.

The powertrain gets a smaller bore, and longer stroke reducing the power output to 14 PS at 8,000 rpm (down from 15.6 PS at 9,000 rpm) and increased the torque output to 13.4 Nm at 6,000 rpm (up from 12.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm). The engine mounts have been changed, and the CDI now has five mappings instead of two in the older one. The clutch too has been made lighter.

The BSIV compliant 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 2017 gets a bigger exhaust canister. The headlamp gets AHO (Auto Headlamp On) feature, another technological aid which the government will be making mandatory for all manufacturers shortly. The paint scheme follows the styling seen in the laser etched Pulsar range and includes three shades, Laser Black, Nuclear Blue and Dyno Red.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 will be competing against the Honda CB Hornet 160R, Yamaha FZ v2.0 and the Suzuki Gixxer. The update of this motorcycle also signals that Bajaj, after all, will not be introducing the Pulsar 160NS to the Indian market.

The engine of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 now produces 14 PS of maximum power and 13.4 Nm of peak torque.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 BSIV has a price tag of INR 74,603 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is INR 1,090 more expensive than the BSIII model.
