2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180, Bajaj Pulsar 150 & Bajaj Pulsar 135LS launched

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar range gains slight changes to the visuals and BSIV compliance (except Pulsar 150).

Apart from the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Bajaj has also updated the rest of the Pulsar range and have brought in a minor price hike. Engines of the Bajaj Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 135LS have been updated to meet BSIV emission norms.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 gets a BSIV compliant engine and a rear disc brake.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 gains new paint scheme with stickers. The contoured seats are new and promise a plusher ride. The bike gains a new rear disc brake which will be safer than the drum setup found in the outgoing version. The 178.6 cc DTS-i, air cooled engine has been upgraded from BSIII to BSIV compliance. The output remains the same 17.02 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 14.22 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The bike tips the scale at 145 kg.

Like the new Pulsar 220F, the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 180 too gets a cool blue illumination in the instrumentation console. The price of the updated Bajaj Pulsar 180 has been raised by INR 3,430 to INR 79,545 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Bajaj Pulsar 150

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 gets tubeless tyres, new graphics and seat but misses out on BSIV upgradation.

This is the only motorcycle in the 2017 edition to not get a BSIV compliant engine. The output from the 149 cc DTS-i mill remains unchanged at 15.06 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 12.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Even the fuel efficiency figure is unchanged at 65 kmpl (CMVR). Braking setup continues to be a front disc and rear drum unit.

The single seat is contoured and gets new material. Apart from the new paint scheme, graphics and carbon fibre accents, the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 150 gains slight changes to the instrumentation. The backlight colour though remains the same amber. The bike is now fitted with tubeless tyres.

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar has a price tag of INR 73,513 (ex-showroom,Delhi) which is a jump by INR 803.

Bajaj Pulsar 135LS

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 135LS gets BSIV compliance, new toe-heel gear shifter, matte black heat shield and a single seat.

As revealed earlier in a video, the Bajaj Pulsar 135LS has also been updated to meet BSIV emission norms. The split seat has been changed to a single unit. The exhaust canister gets a matte black finish and the chrome heat shield too has been given a similar treatment. The single piece grabrail replaces the split unit.

The 134.66 cc mill continues to produce 13.56 PS of maximum power at 9,000 rpm and 11.4 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The brakes continue to have a front disc and rear drum unit. The gear lever has been changed for a heel-toe shifter.

The 2017 Pulsar 135LS goes through a price rise and now costs INR 60,178 (ex-showroom, Delhi), that’s translated to an increase of INR 2,045.
