Bajaj Auto has quietly introduced the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F in India at INR 91,000 ex-Thane and on-road at INR 1.03 lakh, approximately INR 4,000 more than the outgoing motorcycle, reports Overdrive.

The Pulsar 220F has not received upgrades ever since it was given fuel injection in 2010.

To start with, the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F gets a BS4 compliant engine. Overdrive learns that among the changes are a new timing chain that is designed for quieter operation, and a revised power delivery that is more linear and smoother.

Other changes include a new digital instrument cluster with a blue background lighting, softer seats, red and black paint, manual choke, red striping on the black alloy rims and a black exhaust.

Bajaj has reportedly not made any changes to the output of the bike. The 220 cc 4-stroke, DTS-i, oil cooled, single cylinder engine develops 21.05 PS @ 8,500 rpm and 19.12 Nm @ 7,000 rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
