Expected with a petrol engine in the Indian market too.
According to a report on Autocar India, the Maruti S-Cross facelift will launch in India in the second half of 2017. The facelifted S-Cross has already gone on sale in European markets, and was recently showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show too.
Up front, the S-Cross facelift gets an all-new grille, redesigned headlights and a new bumper, while the rear features re-profiled taillights. Suzuki's designers have also given the crossover new diamond cut alloy wheels.
On the inside, the S-Cross facelift gets softer materials, along with a piano black trim around the touchscreen display and chrome accentuated HVAC vents. The touchscreen SmartPlay system now gets Mirrorlink connectivity apart from Apple CarPlay.
However, the main change is the inclusion of the Boosterjet turbocharged petrol engines: the 1.0-liter three-cylinder and the 1.4-liter four-cylinder units. The former outputs 112 hp and 170 Nm, while the latter produces 140 hp and 220 Nm. Both engines are offered with a choice between a 6-speed manual or automatic, while the ALLGRIP AWD is exclusive to the 1.4L Boosterjet variant.

For the Indian market though, the S-Cross facelift will continue with the 1.3- and 1.6-liter DDiS diesel engines. According to some reports, the S-Cross will also be launched with a petrol engine and automatic transmission in the coming months.
