Currently not confirmed for launch.
Mr. Andrew Moore, general manager of Suzuki Australia, has expressed interest in launching the Suzuki Ignis in Australia. It could supplement the brand's UV lineup of products like the Grand Vitara, Vitara and S-Cross; offering prospective customers an entry-level, compact and practical option.
Mr Moore was quoted saying:
We’re very keen to see the Ignis in Australia, from a (local) perspective, but we’re still looking at a lot of things like exchange rates. We think, as a brand that wants to be strong in the SUV segment, obviously, having a light SUV in the line-up would be a good thing.
Should Suzuki green light its launch down under, the Ignis is likely to be manufactured and exported to Australia from Maruti Suzuki's new Sanand plant in India, which is reported to be the Ignis's global production hub. A launch can be expected from mid- to late-2017 in Australia.

As for the Indian market, the launch of the Maruti Ignis has, reportedly, been delayed as the company strives to fulfill the backlog of orders received for the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Maruti Baleno. The market launch will take place this financial year though.
