Will launch prior to the new Swift in India.
A reader of RushLane, Mr. Ishan, has snapped these images of the 2017 Maruti Swift Dzire, ahead of its launch expected in India by H2 2017. The 2017 Maruti Dzire will be manufactured at the upcoming Suzuki-owned and operated plant in Gujarat.
According to a recent report, Maruti will launch the 2017 Swift Dzire prior to the next-generation 2017 Maruti Swift. The hatchback is expected to make its debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March next year.
Both products would be underpinned by the Maruti Baleno's lightweight platform which uses many aluminium structures, thereby contributing to a weight loss of about 30-80 kg. This will naturally reflect in the fuel efficiency, which is expected to be class-leading. Additionally, the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology could also be offered as standard to avail the Indian government's FAME incentive (of around INR 13,000) and further increase mileage.

Dual airbags, ABS, EBD, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, a touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system with reverse camera and navigation and steering mounted controls are features that will be seen on the 2017 Dzire. Compared to the new Swift, the new Dzire will get a slightly different center console, and would also sport a dual-tone black-and-beige theme.
