Reported to launch prior to the new Swift.
Team BHP member, Harpal Singh, has snapped these images of the next generation 2017 Maruti Swift Dzire, ahead of its launch expected in H1 2017. As can be seen below, the new Dzire features an interior different from that of the 2017 Swift.
Where the 2017 Swift gets circular AC vents, the interior of the 2017 Maruti Dzire is seen with rectangular vents, suggesting that the compact sedan will get a different center console. However, while the design might slightly differ, the new Swift Dzire and 2017 Swift will offer the same equipment more-or-less.
Dual airbags, ABS, EBD, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, a touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system with reverse camera and navigation and steering mounted controls will be seen on both models.
Underneath, the 2017 Maruti Swift and 2017 Maruti Swift Dzire will be based on the same lightweight platform that underpins the Maruti Baleno. Hence, weight savings in the order of up to 80 kg are expected depending on the variant and engine combination.

The engines of are expected to remain the same: 1.2-liter K-Series petrol and 1.3-liter DDiS diesel, paired to manual and automated manual transmissions, though some reports hint at Maruti's in-house developed 1.5-liter diesel engine serving the Swift family.
