Expected to launch in H2 2017.
Seen here are the first images of the next-generation 2017 Maruti Swift Dzire, which is expected in the market in the second half of 2017. Though the prototype is heavily camouflaged, the overall dimensions, and design of the taillights remind one of the current generation Maruti Dzire.
The front fascia though shows cues borrowed from the next-gen 2017 Maruti Swift, which is expected to have its world premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next March. A large, Audi-like grille, projector headlights with integrated daytime running lights and circular foglights are seen on the test mule.
Inside, the 2017 Maruti Dzire will borrow its interior from the new Swift, but like the current Swift and Dzire products, Maruti may use a dual-tone black-and-beige theme on the Dzire whereas the Swift's interior is all-black. On the feature front though, the 2017 Maruti Dzire will be packed with dual airbags, ABS, EBD, alloy wheels, automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, a touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system with reverse camera and navigation and steering mounted controls.

Underneath, the 2017 Maruti Swift and 2017 Maruti Swift Dzire will be based on the same lightweight platform that underpins the Maruti Baleno. Hence, weight savings in the order of up to 80 kg are expected depending on the variant and engine combination.
The engines are expected to remain the same: 1.2-liter K-Series petrol and 1.3-liter DDiS diesel, paired to manual and automated manual transmissions, though some reports hint at Maruti's in-house developed 1.5-liter diesel engine serving the Swift family.
