Will debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
The current Suzuki Swift will bow out in the coming months, as Suzuki is working on a new generation model in Europe with plans to introduce it reportedly at the Geneva Motor Show next March. The 2017 Suzuki Swift (2017 Maruti Swift) will feature an evolutionary design, leaked renderings have revealed. The all-new model appears to be more angular and mature, but retains its familiar shape and size. The rear-doors would have C-pillar integrated door handles this time.
Inside, the next-gen Suzuki Swift features a completely revamped interior. New design 3-spoke, multifunction steering wheel, redesigned instrument panel consisting of a colour driver information display between the speedometer and tachometer, redesigned dashboard and centre console and a new entertainment/infotainment system, have been identified on spyshots.
The fourth-gen Suzuki Swift will be based on the Suzuki Baleno’s high-rigidity and lightweight new generation platform. Installed on this platform, will likely be 3-4 powertrains, beginning with the K10C 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbocharged three-cylinder petrol, K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol, K14C-DITC 1.4-litre Boosterjet turbocharged four-cylinder petrol (Suzuki Swift Sport variant) and a new 1.5-litre diesel engine developed in-house.
In India, the current 1.2-litre petrol engine with the inclusion of SHVS is expected to continue along with the new diesel engine, when the 2017 Swift goes on sale next year.
