An imaginative rendering from IAB's Shoeb R Kalania.
With the rising interest for tough, hatchback-based crossovers in India, IAB's Shoeb R Kalania has created a rendering of the Tata Tiago 'Cross', giving an idea of what a rugged, off-road friendly Tiago would look like.
The Tiago featured has a thick bullbar that can house a pair of high-intensity lamps, mesh covers for the headlamps, another pair of high-intensity lamps on the lower bumper, black plastic cladding across the lower bumper, wheel arches and side skirts, roof rack, and chunkier tires wrapping gun metal alloy rims.
Tata may not be selling a crossover variant of the Tiago in India, but customers have the option of purchasing the Aktiv body kit, which adds new bumpers and black plastic body cladding to give it a tough look. It's a dealer-level fitment that is priced at INR 35,000 (varies between dealerships).

The regular Tiago is sold with two engine options: an all new 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron engine with 85 PS (83.80 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 3,500 rpm, and a 1.05-liter three-cylinder Revotorq unit to make 70 PS (69.01 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm at 1,800-3,000 rpm. Both are paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while an AMT option is in the works.
