Shares engine with the KTM Duke 390.
Ahead of its launch reported to take place around the Diwali period (end-October 2016), the Bajaj VS400 was spied testing in Ahmadnagar. The VS400 seen here appears to be the range-topping model with dual-channel ABS, a first for a Bajaj product.
According to a recent report, the motorcycle will not be sold under the Pulsar sub-brand, however, a different sub-brand would be established or used for the VS400. Bajaj's most recent sub-brand is the 'V', which is also announced to expand in the future. At present, the Bajaj V15 is the only model under that sub-brand.
The Bajaj VS400 however will be the most powerful production motorcycle from the company. It is reported to feature the KTM Duke 390's 373.27 cc single cylinder liquid-cooled engine with Bajaj's DTS-i technology which produces 25.74 kW (34.50 hp) on the VS400 (it develops 32 kW/44 hp on the KTM Duke 390). The transmission will be a 6-speed unit.

When launched, expect the Bajaj VS400 to cost in the region of INR 1.7 lakhs, ex-Showroom.
