The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 will be the production version of the Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 concept that was introduced at Auto Expo 2014. Spy photos and spy videos seen over the past couple of months suggest not much has changed on the production version on the design front. The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 will be powered by the KTM Duke 390‘s 373.27 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. In the Austrian naked motorcycle, this engine delivers 32 kW (44 hp), but for the Bajaj Pulsar VS 400, it has been reportedly detuned to produce 25.74 kW (34.50 hp). A 6-speed transmission would direct power to the wheel. Stopping power will come from front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS; a non-ABS variant could also be launched.
