Was previously reported to launch this month.
The launch of the Bajaj Pulsar VS 400, previously rumoured to be named Bajaj Pulsar CS400, was reported to happen this month. Now, according to a report from Moneycontrol, the Bajaj Pulsar VS 400's launch has been pushed back in order to focus on the festive demand.
The development was revealed to the publication by Mr. S Ravikumar, President (Business Development & Assurance), Bajaj Auto. He said that the new launch date will be announced a bit later.
The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 will be the production version of the Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 concept that was introduced at Auto Expo 2014. Spy photos and spy videos seen over the past couple of months suggest not much has changed on the production version on the design front. As for the key mechanical changes though, the company has replaced the concept version's upside-down forks with conventional telescopic forks.

The Bajaj Pulsar VS 400 will be powered by the KTM Duke 390‘s 373.27 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. In the Austrian naked motorcycle, this engine delivers 32 kW (44 hp), but for the Bajaj Pulsar VS 400, it has been reportedly detuned to produce 25.74 kW (34.50 hp). A 6-speed transmission would direct power to the wheel. Stopping power will come from front and rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS; a non-ABS variant could also be launched.
