The Duke 390 was KTM's launch in India after almost a year of launching the Duke 200 which managed to find plenty of takers. Bajaj's manufacturing facility in Pune has also been exporting KTM Duke bikes to Europe. With the Duke 390, Bajaj had said earlier that it had achieved 95 percent localisation with some crucial components still being imported.

The KTM Duke 390 is available in as many as 115 stores across the country.

The Duke 390 is powered by a 43 bhp 375 cc four-stroke single cylinder engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The same gearbox is shared by the Duke 200 too. The 390, understandably, gets a taller 6th gear to accommodate the extra power on tap. It can accelerate from 0-100 kph in just over 5.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 168 kph.
