IAB reader, Abhijit Salvi, has photographed a couple of pre-production 2016 Hyundai Tucsons testing in Mahrashtra, featuring a light cammo wrap. The 2016 Tucson will start arriving in showrooms during the festive season (October-November), Hyundai officials confirmed recently.
Unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016, the Tucson will offer features like 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, 10 way power-operated driver’s seat with ventilation, dual-zone climate control, HID headlights and LED taillights, anti-pinch sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen system with reverse camera and navigation, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, six airbags, keyless entry with push-button start and vehicle stability management.
The engine lineup is reported to comprise of a 2.0L MPI four cylinder engine that produces 152 PS and 195 Nm of torque, and a bigger 2.0L (1,995 cc) CRDi engine available in power outputs of 136 PS and 184 PS. A 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic will be available for both variants, while an AWD system could be optional on the diesel variant.

The new Tucson will be assembled locally with CKD kits at good localization levels for competitive pricing. Reports estimate that prices will range from INR 18-24 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
