The new all-electric SUV is believed to launch by 2020. Citing unnamed sources, the report says that the pure electric Mahindra SUV has been codenamed 'Mahindra S107'. It is said to have an affordable pricing and rumored to be a B-segment model.

With the crossover/SUV class' increasing popularity in the country, a new EV in that segment does make a lot of sense if volumes are to be achieved.

Though electrified cars are still far from becoming volume sellers in India, more hybrids are on the way, the likes of which include the fourth-gen Toyota Prius, Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in (reported) and the VW Passat GTE, not to forget the Honda Accord Hybrid which will launch this festive season.
