Aravind Jayachandran, I'm a huge petrolhead, an automobile engineer, a massive fan of Ferrari, and loves collecting die-cast models for inspiration.
Expected to launch in September-November period.
A Jaguar F-Pace has been spotted for the first time in India, since it was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016. Rushlane managed to acquire photographs of an example at a dealer stockyard, suggesting that a launch is nearing.
Jaguar India have already released the final specification and feature list of the F-Pace SUV, ahead of its launch. It will come in three grade levels: Pure, Prestige and R-Sport. The Pure and Prestige is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine capable of 180 hp, while the R-Sport variant packs a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine with 300 hp. All variants are equipped with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive as standard.
Standard features in the base Pure model include cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, 10-way power adjustable front seats, JLR’s InControl Touch infotainment system, front and rear parking sensors, JLR’s All Surface Progress Control system, heated and power folding ORVMs and brake pad wear indicator.
The Jaguar F-Pace will be brought to India via the CBU route. It will compete against the likes of the Porsche Macan, BMW X6 M40d and the Mercedes GLE Coupe.
