Will launch in the October-November period.
Hyundai officials have divulged to ET Auto that the 2016 Hyundai Tucson will be priced between INR 25-30 Lakhs in India when launched. It is expected to arrive in showrooms during the October-November period.
The report states that the Hyundai Tucson diesel variant will pack a bigger 2.0L CRDI diesel engine imported from Korea available in power outputs of 136 PS and 184 PS, while the petrol variant is powered by a 2.0L MPI four cylinder engine from the Hyundai Elantra, which produces 152 PS and 195 Nm of torque. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic are likely options for both variants, while an AWD system could be optional on the top-end model.
If the reported price range of INR 25-30 Lakhs turns out to be true, the price difference between it and the bigger Hyundai Santa Fe will be small; the entry level Hyundai Santa Fe comes in at INR 28.53 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Other reports estimate that the 2016 Hyundai Tucson will be priced between INR 18-24 Lakhs, which would maintain a good price difference between a top-end Hyundai Creta diesel (INR 14.57 Lakhs, ex-showroom) and also with the entry level Hyundai Santa Fe flagship.
