Bookings currently open.
Overdrive reports that the 2016 Hyundai Elantra will launch in India on August 23. Bookings are currently accepted at several dealerships across India at a minimum deposit of INR 25,000.
Like the current model, the new Elantra will be manufactured at Hyundai’s factory in the outskirts of Chennai. The executive sedan has been spotted testing in India ahead of its launch, with camouflage covering an evolutionary exterior influenced by Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. Compared to the outgoing model, the next gen Elantra is 20 mm longer and 25 mm wider.
The interior has also undergone a total redesign, with cues borrowed from the new Hyundai Sonata and new Tucson. Spyshots have revealed that the 2016 Elantra will feature a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, automatic climate control, cruise control, rain sensing wipers and start/stop button.
