Increased production to about 7,800 units a month.
ET Auto reports that Toyota has received around 30,000 bookings for the Innova Crysta, half of which are for the 2.8 AT variant. With the strong demand, there is now a 3 month waiting period for customers of the Innova Crysta AT variant.
To lower the waiting period, TKM Director and Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing) N Raja confirmed that the company has increased the production rate of the Innova Crysta to 7,800 units a month (up from 6,000) in June, and requested OEMs to enhance supplies.
Toyota has sold 7,500 units of the Innova Crysta in June; significantly contributing to the 25 percent growth of overall sales in the same month. The month before that, the Innova Crysta managed to overtake the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Hyundai Creta (two of the most popular SUVs in the market) and become the top selling UV as well as 9th best selling vehicle of the month.
