Update - Skoda has released more images of the Skoda Kodiaq, which acts as a support vehicle for the Tour de France.
Will have its world premiere on 1 September.
As its debut nears, the Skoda Kodiaq's marketing campaign has seen release of a set of new teaser images. Along with releasing the new images, the Czech automaker has also slipped in an announcement that the Skoda Kodiaq will have its world premiere in Berlin on 1 September. Then, at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, the Skoda Kodiaq will have its public debut.
Previewed by the Skoda VisionS concept - also a design study showcasing the design language of future Skoda crossovers/SUVs - the Skoda Kodiaq is the company's first 3-row crossover to be launched in the market. Once launched, the Skoda Superb's crossover equivalent will likely become the brand's new flagship product.
The Skoda Kodiaq is based on the VW Group's MQB platform and will be offered with three TSI petrol and two TDI diesel engines initially. A German media report from earlier this month said that the output of the three petrol engines will range from 125 PS to 180 PS (123.24 hp to 177.47 hp), while the the two diesel engines will produce 150 PS and 190 PS (147.89 hp and 187.33 hp). Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and DSG dual-clutch automatic.

The Skoda Kodiaq will go on sale in Europe in early-2017. Its Indian launch is reported to take place in the second half of 2017. While the international markets will get the Kodiaq in 5- and 7-seat versions, it remains to be seen what product strategy Skoda takes up for India.
