All-new Skoda Yeti to look more SUV-like and be larger.

The original Skoda Yeti was unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show and given a mid-life facelift in 2013. In 2017, Skoda will introduce the second generation Skoda Yeti. Speculative renderings by Andrey Kirichenko show how the 2017 Skoda Yeti may look like.

The next-gen Skoda Yeti will be based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform.

As depicted in the renderings, the next-gen Skoda Yeti, like all other future crossover/SUV models from Skoda, will have design inspired by the Skoda VisionS concept that was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

Like the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq, the next-gen Skoda Yeti will be based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform. It's expected to have considerable mechanical commonalities with the second generation VW Tiguan, as well as the Seat Ateca.

The 2017 Skoda Yeti is expected to be offered with the same turbocharged petrol and diesel engines from the VW Tiguan, the Seat Ateca and the Skoda Kodiaq, with displacements ranging from 1.0- to 2.0-litre. An electrified powertrain, which could be plug-in hybrid, may also be introduced at a later date. Transmission choices should include 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Skoda will offer the all-new Yeti in probably both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrain layouts.
