Toyota Motor-owned Daihatsu will launch a Toyota Calya-based mini-MPV this year in Indonesia - the Daihatsu Sigra. Both these mini-MPVs will be similarly related like the Toyota Avanza and the Daihatsu Xenia. In the latest development, the prices of the Daihatsu Sigra have been revealed by Autonetmagz.
According to the Indonesian publication's latest report on the vehicle, the Daihatsu Sigra's prices will start at Rp 79,000,000 (INR 3.98 lakhs) and go up to Rp 136,000,000 (INR 6.86 lakhs). The Sigra will be powered by the D26F 1KR-DE 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 65 kW (87.13 hp) at 6,000 rpm, as well as the 1.2-litre engine from the Toyota Calya. It will be available in both manual and automatic transmission models.

Both Toyota Cayla and Daihatsu Sigra are said to debut at GIIAS 2016 (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show) that will take place from 11 to 21 August 2016. Both mini-MPVs will become available to pre-order at this motor show, while their deliveries are expected to commence in late-2016 or early-2017.
